Some scholars and theologians are excited about a find that could be the biggest discovery since the Dead Sea Scrolls. An ancient collection of 70 tiny books was found in a cave in a Jordan known to be a shelter to many early Christians after the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD.

Experts are still in the process of verifying their authenticity; however everyone agrees that if they are proven to be real they could unlock some of the secrets of the earliest days of Christianity.

The pages show pictures, symbols, and words appearing to be about Jesus and potentially even his Crucifixion and Resurrection.
A large portion of the books are sealed, which leads some people to speculate that they may have stumbled upon the lost collection of codices mentioned in the Book Of Revelation.

The books were smuggled into Israel by a Bedouin who claims they were found by his great-grandfather. Jordan wants the books to be returned because under their law they are the property of the Kingdom of Jordan.

Archeologists in Israel say the books are forgeries, but British archeologists are committed to saving and studying the ancient scrolls, saying, "It is an enormous privilege to be able to reveal this discovery to the world. It is a breathtaking thought that we have held these objects that might have been held by the early saints of the Church."

What do you think? Are they real? Are they a forgery? If they are real, who should own them? Should Jordan keep them or should a team of Western Scholars analyze them? Could they be the codices mentioned in the Book of Revelations? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below!

We look forward to hearing from you!
